Interesting weekend thus far

Friday
KJ: Last night, wifey insisted that I stop what I was doing and come and work on this All In painting that we wanted to do. All In is an audiobook by Mark Batterson which blew us away on how to live All in for God. I recommend the audiobook, as it is free on trial and worth the listen.

Wifey laid out the All In on four (4) sheets of paper and we transferred the outlines onto the canvas, the colour is a rich deep blue we call Jackman Blue, so named, because the paint mixer machine at a certain Hardware in town *coughInTudorStreet* couldn't make the colour on the sample card.

Then it was on to PAINT! We used a metallic gold, two coats and filled in the lines. My wife and I are Really like Oil and Water, Especially in painting. Where her strokes are imprecise, blobish and messy, I go for tight, controlled strokes, precise lines and straight edges lol. We balance out each other. Or usually walk away in frustration.😅

Out of focus shots add mystery
Two (2) coats later.... Voilá

Saturday
Yesterday was an interesting day. Morning half, wifey and I went to see our premartial counsellors to really get to the heart of the issues we have been having about church, religion and the like.

The conversation was very insightful and my key takeaways were:
  1. You have to find your gift, as that will bring purpose to your life and put you before Kings
  2. The mundane is part of the journey. I notice that people only attend church for the holidays (Christmas, Good Friday, Easter, New Years, and birthdays. If they do) Some days you don't feel like going to church, praying etc. But you when you get serious with God, he will get serious with you.
After that we went to my workshop to load up two (2) burglar bars to install for a client.

I had some licks with them, and with heavenly inspiration I got through. Wifey played a big role with the spray painting, installation, and touching up.

Love she to bits. Wifey. Yuh turn

DJ: Where do I begin or what do I add to my husband's recap of our weekend? It feels empowering to be by his side when he is working. He allows me to give input on his projects, but the execution is where I come alive most times. Seeing the client's satisfaction with her product encouraged me to continue to support Kavan's vision for his business. We may be oil and water at times but together when we are used can make a great tasting meal.

Love you babes.
